LaMAY & REESE AND THE THREE ONE FIVERS is a dynamic musical ensemble blending Americana, folk, and bluegrass with a modern twist.

Fronted by the duo of JOE LaMAY & SHERRI REESE, known for their rich harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, the group features LAURIE LEENHOUTS on fiddle and JOHN STEVENS on bass - skilled musicians who add depth and rhythm to their sound.

Their music is a journey through stories of love, life, and the American experience, delivered with soulful instrumentation and a genuine connection to their roots.

Whether performing in intimate venues or on grand stages, LaMay & Reese and the Three One Fivers captivate audiences with their authenticity and musical prowess.

J0e LaMay & Sherri Reese met at a song circle in 1998 and have been singing together ever since. In 2000, the teamed up with Laurie Leenhouts on fiddle, John Stevens on mandolin, and Fred Filbrich on bass, to form the Genesee Rose Stringband.

In 2004 LaMay & Reese moved to Kentucky where they were Kentucky Arts Council performers, and hosted weekly singarounds and a monthly coffeehouse. Also, in 2004, they joined Bill Knowlton’s Bluegrass Ramble radio show as monthly segment contributors.

In 2023, Joe & Sherri moved back to NY and joined up again with Laurie Leenhouts on fiddle and John Stevens on bass. All four live in the town of Macedon, and now perform as LaMay & Reese and the Three One Fivers.

Joe sings and plays guitar and Sherri sings and plays banjo. Both are songwriters with a number of their original songs recorded by other bluegrass and folk musicians. Laurie Leenhouts is featured on fiddle and John Stevens provides the bottom on bass.

Their songs range from traditional folk and bluegrass to contemporary to original compositions which maintain an older style.
