Sherri told me this story about her 4th birthday party. After the festivities, the adults were relaxing and napping - so Sherri and a little neighbor friend decided that the 2000 1-day old baby chicks up in the barn loft needed to learn how to fly. They climbed up to the loft and began tossing them out the window. Of course, they didn't fly so much as plummet. Their squawking alerted Grampa - and he came running and put a stop to it. I just had to write this song. - Joe
